Darren Laguea has decided that - although he wishes to remain in the marine sector - it will be to pursue his own business interests. He therefore steps down as Euroshore’s chairman and Chief Operating Officer at Nature Group PLC.

Nature Group (AIM:NGR) the provider of port reception facilities and waste treatment solutions for the oil, marine and process industries, announced that Darren Laguea has decided to step down as a Director and the Chief Operating of Nature Group PLC. Chairman Nigel Sandy: “Darren has been a valued colleague for many years and having expressed a desire to move on to fresh challenges, we are extremely sorry now that he has made his decision to do so. Fortunately we have made considerable investment in expanding our management team over the last year or more. We are very pleased that Darren will also continue to be available to assist us and we wish him every success in the future.”

Euroshore thanks Darren Laguea

Darren Laguea also resigns as chairman of Euroshore – after having presided the organisation for the last two years, and having been a vice chairman the two previous years. Guido Van Meel: “We are extremely grateful for Mr. Lagueas most valuable contribution to our organisation. During his leadership Euroshore extended its membership and established its name as an association of high qualified port reception facilities. And wish him the very best in his new business pursuits.”

Euroshore is an international association of port reception facilities defending the interest of waste contractors in maritime shipping and inland navigation. Euroshore’s members are private companies and national associations, operate facilities in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Via the branches of its members, Euroshore is present in North and South America and Asia.

Euroshore vice Chairman elections

Darren Laguea’s term as chairman of Euroshore would normally end in the first half of 2014. Vice chairman Baudouin Ska, the representative of the Belgian association of waste contractors FEBEM-FEGE will automatically take over the chairmanship. The association will elect a new vice chairman at its next general assembly the 20th of February 2014.
